Happily married Vijay and Kavita Pundit are upset when slackers, Shyam Gopal Verma, Prem Promoter, and Aslam Khan move in next door. The trio are attracted to friendly and naive Kavita and openly make it known, much to Vijay’s chagrin who decides to take all necessary steps to prevent them from even meeting her. Unable to find an acting job in Bollywood, Shyam decides to enter a contest with a leading TV channel which requires that he make a movie.
