Based on the IMDb information, the key actors are Vikram Prabhu and Lakshmi Menon, whose powerful performances bring to life the story's emotional depth.

Plot Summary

Kumki centers on the life of a mahout named Bomman, played by Vikram Prabhu, who cares for and trains a special type of elephant known as a "kumki." A kumki is an elephant trained to help tame and control wild elephants encroaching on human settlements. The film explores Bomman's deeply personal journey as he navigates the challenges of his dangerous occupation, the complexities of coexistence between humans and elephants, and his budding romance with a determined young woman named Alli, portrayed by Lakshmi Menon.

Set in a remote forest village, the story emphasizes themes of loyalty, courage, and compassion. Bomman's bond with his kumki elephant is central to the plot, exemplifying a unique relationship built on trust and mutual respect. The narrative deftly portrays the tensions between wildlife and human beings and highlights Bomman’s mission to protect his community while honoring the majestic creatures of the forest.
