Uemployed, middle-classed Suraj Verma meets with wealthy Asha, the second of two daughters of wealthy Bombay-based Dhaniram, who forces him to marry her. After getting evicted by his landlord, he manages to secure temporary accommodation in a bungalow on Gorai Beach which belongs to his friend, Vijay. This is where Suraj must now masquerade as a servant in order to try to fool an ailing Dhaniram into believing that he is wealthy. Things get really complicated when Lata, Asha’s sister, falls for Suraj.
